Happy Friday!!!!!
Looks like we made it to the end of another week. *Fist bumps for being awesome!*
This week was both good and bittersweet for me. A couple of other fit mommas and myself started a new project that I will be announcing and promoting sometime next week. I also made the decision to close my coaching business. A lot of factors went into that but ultimately the decision was made when Beachbody changed their Shakeology formula to include both wheat and barely grass, which while technically gluten free are still not a safe choice for someone with Celiac. I just can't stand behind a product I can't use myself, so after a couple of weeks of going back and forth, I decided that time was over and I should move on.
So...what I did this week.

What I'm Doing
I am still sticking with my TurboFire and Les Mills Pump hybrid. I love it! I can't say I look forward to working out everyday, but I always enjoy it once I'm up moving. No complaints here!
My back muscles have finally adjusted to the TurboFire moves and so I'm not sore everyday, took them long enough, and I can see abs. Like visible, little baby abs. I must be doing something right.
I've also been taking part in a burpee challenge. Add one burpee on a day. I had to play catch-up though, so 120 burpees in one day. Ouch. I'm still hanging onto my daily mile, been doing somewhere between 1 and 2 miles now. I enjoy having 20 minutes to myself to just walk and relax.

What I'm Eating
Still sticking with Paleo. Going pretty well so far. I'm finding that, with the exception of really strong sugar cravings, I'm not really missing much 'regular' foods. I like Paleo a lot because I am forced to cook every. single. meal. And while that seems like a lot, it takes less than 30 minutes and the food is way tastier.
Breakfast
Apple cinnamon 'pancakes' and sausage on the side. By far my favorite breakfast this week. I will be doing a recipe post of this next week!!
2 eggs, sweet potato 'hash' and tbacon. I LOVE sweet potatoes cooked like this. The crunchy and the burnt taste seems to make them even sweeter.
Two scrambled eggs topped with half and avocado. A small spinach salad with bell peppers and tbacon
Lunch
Tuna salad 'sandwiches'. Tuna with olive oil and mustard, apples and olives between cucumber slices
Leftover chicken nuggets made into a salad as well as some chicken breast slices for extra protein and calories. Had apples and bell peppers in this one!
Used the rest of the leftover tuna on a different day. Also had a surplus of sweet potato hash that I reheated, and my all time favorite kale chips on the side.
Dinner
Chicken nuggets (made with walnuts), sweet potato chips and a small spinach salad.
Ground chicken tacos, wrapped in lettuce instead of tortilla shells. Another favorite go-to meal of mine!
Turkey burger with lots of yummys on top, wrapped in lettuce of course. Green beans and kale chips on the side!
Desserts/Snacks
Didn't have a lot in this category this week. I had a realization this week while reading It Starts With Food, if I'm not hungry why force myself to eat between meals? So I haven't been.
However I still love dessert and am constantly trying to find new sweet things to snack on. I plan on ending this habit in the next week though, I'm going to break my late night snacking if it kills me!!
Not sure why this doesn't want to be turned the right way but....frozen mixed berries, no sugar added. Thawed and served on their own after dinner. Yum!

My fail moment of the
week. I thought I would be smart and make 'chocolate ice cream' from frozen berries and cocoa powder. Well, me being me, I was too lazy to go looking for a spoon while blending and poured right from the cocoa container. Yea... that didn't end well. Super chocolaty!! I added some bananas to balance out the overwhelming chocolate taste, and it was a nummy treat. But geeze!! Too. Much. Chocolate!!!
My Progress Report
Didn't lose any weight this week, but I expected that to happen since I've lost 5 pounds since the start of the year already. Eventually it was going to level off. I haven't missed a workout and I can see baby abs though so I'd call this week a successful one!
Keep an eye open for my project announcement!!!

I didn't think that one could ever have too much chocolate. :-P Everything on the menu for this week looks really tasty. Do you mind sharing the recipe for the pancakes?
ReplyDeleteOoooh trust me, there is such a thing as too much at once LOL!! Notice it didn't stop me from eating it ;)
DeleteI am planning on doing a recipe post for the pancakes at the beginning of next week, so I'll be sharing it soon!
